Issue Position

Every child deserves a world-class education: it is vital to our future economic stability and our nations' viability. It is essential that our education system is centered on the needs of each individual child. Necessarily, the state must set high standards. We must empower parents, teachers and administrators to formulate and execute policies that are best for achieving these standards and educating each child.

In my view, the answer is not more mandates from unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats in Washington or Atlanta. The answer is increased accountability and prioritized funding channeled directly to the education of our students, as well as, providing more flexibility for parents and teachers.
